Acrylic colors are generally grouped into four categories: transparent, translucent, whites, and solar tints. We have all colors below in sample "chips". For free samples, use the feedback page or call us @ 1-800-777-7910.
Transparent colors are see-thrus in red, fluorescents, yellow, amber, green and blue. Available in 1/16" (only some colors), 1/8", 3/16" and 1/4" thicknesses. We stock most of the available colors in 1/8", but have other thicknesses available in stock or from our mill.
Translucent colors are enhanced by back lighting. Beautiful reds, blues and greens. Practical (but opaque, non-light transmitting) black, brown or ivory are included in this group. Available in 1/16" (only some colors), 1/8", 3/16" and 1/4" thick. We stock some colors in 1/8" and 1/4" thicknesses.
Whites are available in seven different shades, ranging from 2447 (020-4), a lighting white which is a good color for light lenses, light panels for drawing tables, etc., to 7328 (015-2), a sign white, which is almost opaque, an excellent white for applications that need to be back lit. Available from our stock in 1/16", 1/8", 3/16" and 1/4" thicknesses.
Solar tinted acrylic is known to the general public as "smoked" plastic. Available in both bronze and gray. Solar tints are excellent colors to be used to reduce the amount of light transmitted. Warm bronzes are available in color (2412), (23% light transmittance) and #2074 (311-1), (15% light transmittance). Gray is also available.
